Great inexpensive American style Italian food. Spaghetti and meatballs was great, garlic bread is excellent. Cheesecake and carrot cake slices were on the small side but delicious. The pizza is good if you like this style. It's more like a tavern style and not NY style like Frank's. But it's still very good imo. I also like that they have their own parking and street parking is available. Nice deck and tables for when the weather is good.

I stand by my initial review. Giovanna's is still definitely the move for some of the best pizza in Bmore. The pizza is still reasonably priced even though, to paraphrase The Wire, the price of the cheese going up. As of this writing, it's $13 for a large cheese pizza. The service was as friendly as every and I left full of holiday cheer.

Veggie pizza is the best I've had, would have given 5 stars, but the overpriced French fries were not good at all.

I love, love, love this place and they're food. Their prices are reasonable, everything is homemade, and the flavor and authenticity is amazing for Italian food. I am Italian myself, so eating something so close to what my Nana made is delicious. Good job, guys!

Have to give this place 5 stars. The food was excellent and fresh. Husband's Italian cold cut sub was the best in his opinion, a huge sub, 8", cut in half and half came home. Italian dressing on top. I had the chicken parm sub, and they toasted the roll as requested, and the cheese (provolone)was right on, in my opinion. I sub'd out the mozzarella for a $.50 upcharge (so worth it). The toasting helped with the sauce not going into the roll. It stayed where it belonged. The chicken had the perfect amount of breading. However, it needed the Italian holy trilogy...hots, oregano, and parmesan cheese. Now it is perfect. Both came with pickle slices. This is an inexpensive restaurant, so nice for a change. We will be back, oh, yes, they have weekday specials, see the menu. The side yard has seating, looks like a quiet garden spot with a massive fig tree. The staff could not have been nicer, start to finish, and also they do a robust carryout business.

First time ordering from Giovanna's! The food is great and the staff/owners are very nice. We ordered a white pizza, pepperoni pizza, tiramisu, and brownie. All were delicious! The toppings on the pizzas were plentiful and the prices were reasonable. The tiramisu was the best we have EVER had. If they sell by the whole sheet I am all in! It was absolutely fabulous. We cannot wait to try some more things on their menu, buy some more desserts, and tiramisu!!!

Well, that didn't take long! Tonight, five days after our initial visit, we went back to GIK because we had been dreaming about their amazing slice of Sicilian pizza. The slice we had tonight was very good, but it didn't have the OMG factor of the piece we had on Saturday. (The two main differences were that we didn't have a corner slice and the pizza wasn't reheated for as long, which I think contributed to tonight's slice being saucier and having a slight difference in the texture of the crust.) We also got a small regular cheese pizza. Also, very, very good in the straight ahead pizza kind of way with good crust--not thin, not thick--tangy sauce, and good cheese. I'm really not sure that I'm going to make the trek from my side of town to Parkville regularly for this pizza, but will definitely stop when and I'm the area. The people who live nearby are very, very lucky!

All you need to know- chicken parm sub. Crispy sub roll Crunchy breaded chicken cutlets Marinara sauce Hot melty mozzarella Go here, thank me later.

First time here and a spot that I ask "How did I not get here sooner?!" Smaller place with limited seating (especially now as it looked like the back section was partially closed). We were picking up anyway. You get the local flavor/mom & pop feel as soon as you walk in. Ordered by phone (seamless) and wanted to try the pizza given the positive reviews. I was going to order a two topping 12 inch but the kind lady told me about their 16 inch special and saved me some $s which was a nice touch! We got a White Pizza (billed as a customer favorite), the Works and a Pepp/Sausage. Also, got some of the Sicilian square slices to try. & couldn't resist ordering an Italian Cold Cut given the pictures-a very good decision! The limoncello cake & Tiramisu were also calling from the display case. We loved the pizza. Medium thick crust and perfect toppings to cheeses ratios. The star of the show and favorite was the White pizza. I've had other versions but this is probably the best. Just the right touch of fresh garlic and diced tomatoes and cheese. More than lived up to the hype! Really enjoyed the Sicilian squares-the cold ones warm up nicely. The Cold Cut was One of the best I've ever had! The bread is key and this is that perfect soft crust and softer interior. Just the right amount of meat/cheese. When they ask you "do you want relish?"-the answer is yes & don't forget the hots. Giovanna's was not on a local food blog's list for top Cold Cut spots in the Baltimore area. This spot has to be at the top of all these lists! Limoncello cake was delicious as well the Tiramisu with the right balance of mascarpone, rum and overall ingredients. They have daily Italian dinner specials (weekdays-pick up only) & I saw Stromboli & a good selection of apps. Reasonable prices, kind people taking care of customers and for sure a local favorite (& hidden gem if you don't live in Parkville) as they've been around for over 30 years. We will be back!
